After seeing Zoidberg’s teriyaki, I wanted some.

So home, straight to the kitchen.

Chicken teriyaki, steamed rice, steamed broccoli, vegetable springrolls and duck and hoisin sauce springrolls and some plum sauce and a beer.

I enjoy cooking. But you always seem to take it that extra step, every night. I just don’t have the time in my day to cook like you do. Looks tasty!

it’s the benefits/consolation of having no life I guess. :(

I think I get time or inclination about two or three times a week. Sometimes I have no energy and sometimes I do it because I don’t have any energy and need to wind down. I put on my Bluetooth headphones, find something on Amazon Music on my phone and dance while cooking. The other morning it was Phil Collins, the previous day it was Bachs Cello Suite 1.

Oh, I have no life either. Just no time.

I get up at 4:30, out the door by 5:15. At work from 6-3:30, home at 4:15. Feed my dogs and working out takes me to about 6. At 6 I eat dinner, and am usually in bed by 7:15. Time is a premium I usually don’t have.

With working nights and just grabbing anything to eat when I get in from work to feed a hunger I thought, just a little more effort and I can make food that fills a stomach into food that fills a soul.

The chicken teriyaki took what, 35-40 minutes tops, cheese burgers 20-25 minutes. Most of the cooking takes less than an hour other than taking the steak out the fridge an hour before cooking and a full English which is about an hour of prep and cooking.

Probably the most time consuming and most effort required was making duck wellington which took about two hours if I recall.

Pommes anna, mushroom sauce and baby romanesco.
